According to JCC, as part of a broader strategic re-evaluation, IOC has suspended activities related to the CEC, and electricity entry has been severely hit. Following the inauguration of Kirsty Coventry in June 2025, the new Chair of IOC, Kirsty Coventry, has significantly slowed the inclusion of electronic competition in the Olympic project.
